Get your journalism awards entries ready

Here's the place to check out the new rules for the contest and print out your entry forms. The due date is March 2.

It's that time again. The San Diego chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists is now accepting entries for its annual Journalism Awards contest on its website. The contest honors the best work put out by our city's print, online, broadcast and student journalists in 2006. Note the changes we've made in our contest, which now allows various media, including online publications, to compete in our new reporting and writing category. Check out our explainer on why we've made the change.

Entries are due March 2, and winners will be honored at our annual banquet in June. The venue and date of the banquet will be announced in the spring.
